MARVEL Cosmic Invasion Because Who Needs the Avengers When You Have Cyclops and the Thing to Save the Day in This Totally Not Desperate DLC Move

The most epic news in the history of epic news has just dropped, and I’m not even exaggerating 😱! MARVEL Cosmic Invasion DLC 1 is here, and it’s bringing some serious heat with the addition of Cyclops and The Thing to the roster 🤯! I mean, who needs a social life when you can spend your days playing as your favorite Marvel heroes, right? 🤷‍♂️

But wait, there’s more! 🤔 The first paid DLC for 2025’s MARVEL Cosmic Invasion is not just a lazy cash-grab (although, let’s be real, it kind of is 💸). For the low, low price of $3.99 USD, you can blast enemies as Cyclops, leader of the X-Men, or tank hits and clobber foes as The Thing from the Fantastic Four 🤖. I mean, it’s not like you have better things to spend your money on, like food or rent 🏠.

And don’t even get me started on the fact that Cosmic Invasion players won’t have to wait too long for another content drop 🕰️. DLC 2 is confirmed to be launching this fall, and it’s going to feature even more playable characters and an all-new game mode 🎮! Because what’s a game without a dozen DLCs, am I right? 🤑

But seriously, the addition of Cyclops and The Thing is a big deal, and I’m not just saying that because I’m a huge fan of the X-Men and Fantastic Four 🤓. They will be joining the base roster of 15 Marvel heroes fighting back against the Annihilation Wave, and you can try them out in a single playthrough using the tag-out system or in four-player co-op 🤝. Just don’t expect me to join your team, because let’s face it, I’m a gaming noob 🤦‍♂️.

DotEmu, the developer of MARVEL Cosmic Invasion, is a pretty underrated game studio and publisher, having developed other retro-style beat-’em-ups like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, Streets of Rage 4, and NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound 🎮. They’re also responsible for the new beat-’em-up rogue-lite Absolum that released last year, which includes music from legendary gaming musicians like Mick Gordon and Yuka Kitamura 🎶. Because who doesn’t love a good gaming soundtrack, right? 🎵

So, if you want to start clobbering some enemies in MARVEL Cosmic Invasion, you can play it on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam 🎮. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you when you spend the next 12 hours playing and forget to eat or sleep 😴. Happy gaming, and may the odds be ever in your favor 🎲! 🚀👽💥
