OMG! Lucca Comics & Games 2025 is gracing us with its presence, and honestly, who even cares? 🙄 It’s supposed to be some mega-festival celebrating comics, games, music, and, for some reason, France. Like, what? France? Are we talking mime artists and questionable cheese? 🤢

Apparently, this year’s edition wants to remind everyone that Lucca thinks it’s a super-important artistic hub influencing the entire world. 🤣 The theme is “French Kiss,” because nothing says “intellectual festival” like a sloppy make-out session. 💋 They’re slapping the “freedom, creativity, and diversity” label on everything, because buzzwords make everything better, right? They are even trying to align themselves with French Revolution values. How original. 🙄 They claim they’re all about community, inclusion, discovery, respect, and gratitude. Yeah, sure, just like every other corporate event ever. 🙄

They even have a poster by some French illustrator named Rébecca Dautremer, because what screams “comics and games” more than some artsy-fartsy visual? They’re calling the kiss a “narrative detonator.” 💣 OMG, so deep! It’s just a kiss! Lucca Comics & Games is trying to make it sound like it’s revolutionizing storytelling. 🤣 They’re trying to say that a “French Kiss” is like, a deeply intimate interaction that somehow connects everyone to culture. 🤯 Please, stop. This is too much.

So, here’s the lowdown on what to expect at this year’s snooze-fest:

COAMIX Inc. is showing up. Apparently, this is a big deal because they are Japanese. 🎉 They are bringing a Tetsuo Hara exhibition because *Fist of the North Star* is still relevant?
Akemi Takada is the “Godmother of Japan Town”. 🤔 I didn’t know that was a thing. She will be doing signings and art. Sounds thrilling. 😴
Rébecca Dautremer will be working live in her studio. So, you can watch her draw… stuff? 🤷‍♀️
Kevin Eastman is having a retrospective of his *Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles* work. Cowabunga, dude! 🐢 (I’m being sarcastic).

They are celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Dungeons & Dragons “Red Box”. Expect characters that are inspired by Rébecca Dautremer. Art meets geekdom, or something. 🤷

Some “star names” in fantasy art will be attending. I’ve never heard of them. 🤷‍♀️
Matthew Mercer and Marisha Ray are debuting at Lucca Comics & Games. For those who do not know them, they are from *Critical Role*. 🎉 I am sure some people care. They’re presenting *Daggerheart*, their new RPG.
A LEGO diorama of Lucca’s historic center. Whoop-dee-doo! 🧱 Interactive zones for *Star Wars*, *One Piece*, and *Minecraft*. I am sure the kids will be excited.

*Death Stranding 2: On The Beach* World Tour is making Lucca its last stop. Hideo Kojima will be there!

🤩 (I am also being sarcastic). John Romero will be talking about innovation and horror. 🙄
poncle and Luca Galante will be presenting a *Vampire Survivors* experience. Sounds bloody awful. 🧛
Samsung is premiering Riot Games’ fighter *2XKO*. More fighting games, great. 🥊
Netflix will be unveiling the fifth and final season of *Stranger Things*. I am so excited! Said no one ever. The cast will be there. So exciting, right? 🥱
Prime Video is bringing *The Traitors Italia* and *Hazbin Hotel*. Reality TV and edgy cartoons, the peak of culture! 🍷
Crunchyroll will host exclusive anime screenings. Yay? 🥳

Lucca Comics & Games 2025 is supposed to be a celebration of creativity. 🙄 It is a place where people play, connect and share cultures. 🙄 Through imagination. 🙄 It is running from October 29 to November 2. If you are bored, check it out. Or, just stay home and watch Netflix. 📺
