Star Wars Day is almost here, and Lucasfilm Games has revealed a ton of new games, deals, and collaborations to celebrate, because who doesn’t love a good excuse to spend all their money on Star Wars stuff 🤑. Starting with the recent announcement of Star Wars: Galactic Racer, a new racing game set in a galaxy far, far away, where players will be able to race on planets like Tatooine and Jakku using speeders from the franchise, including everyone’s favorite podracing 🏎️. Set in the time after the Empire has fallen, the Outer Rim worlds have become obsessed with speed, because what’s more exciting than racing on a desert planet with a bunch of angry aliens 🤖. Galactic Racer is set for an Oct. 6 release, with preorders already available on every major storefront, so you can waste your money now and regret it later 🤑.
Aside from the new racing game, a Monopoly crossover is already on its way, because who doesn’t love a good game of Monopoly, especially when it’s Star Wars-themed 🎲. Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains is heading to tabletops worldwide on June 11th, where you can pick a side and compete against each other by winning fights between legendary heroes and villains from the entire Star Wars franchise, and hope the die rolls just right, or you’ll be forced to watch a marathon of the prequels 🤦♂️. Pre-orders are open for Heroes vs. Villains, with the ones who do pre-order getting two unique dice sets to use in the game, because who doesn’t love a good set of dice 🎲.
Mobile fans will also have a taste of the Star Wars Day fun after the New Republic Era Part 1 update debuts on Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes starting May 5th, where you can play as your favorite characters, including The Mandalorian, Kuiil, and IG-11, and pretend you’re a real-life bounty hunter, but let’s be real, you’re probably just a nerd who still lives in their parent’s basement 🤓. The update stands alone, but it also brings perks like adding new characters and being able to claim your login calendar all month long, starting on May 1st, so you can get your daily dose of Star Wars goodness 📆.
Star Wars is vast, so there are a ton of little things happening too, which are different from a big game release, but let’s be real, who needs a big game release when you can have a bunch of small, mediocre games 🤷♂️. Luke Skywalker, for one, is being added into Brawlhalla with his iconic green lightsaber and a stolen Vibro-Axe Spear from one of Jabba’s skiff guards, with his moveset mirroring the abilities of another playable character, Arcadia, because who doesn’t love a good lightsaber duel 🤺. There are also a ton of other mythic crossovers featuring characters like Anakin Skywalker, Chewbacca, and General Grievous, because who doesn’t love a good crossover event 🤩.
Disney Dreamlight Valley fans will be thrilled to know that they will get a new companion in the form of the cutest droid, BB-8, because who doesn’t love a good droid 🤖. While BB-8 has some fun in the valley, Star Wars: The Old Republic super-fans will be happy to know about the giveaways and more planned for Star Wars Day, including a BX-RC Probe Droid Minipet and the Vectron Phantom RC2 mount, which is inspired by the iconic Razor Crest from Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, because who doesn’t love a good giveaway 🎁.
There is also the upcoming Star Wars DLC for PowerWash Simulator 2, coming later this summer, because who doesn’t love a good power washing simulator 🚿. Aside from that, there aren’t any other full game releases, but there are a couple of really good Star Wars Day sales, though, including Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for 90 percent off across all platforms until May 13th, with its sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, also going for 85 percent off until May 13th, because who doesn’t love a good sale 🎉.
There is also a Star Wars Day catch-all sale on a ton of classic Star Wars games like LEGO Star Wars III – The Clone Wars and the original Star Wars: Battlefront across PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and a ton of good sales with GOG from April 30th to May 5th, because who doesn’t love a good classic game 🎮. GOG itself has almost every classic Star Wars game available for around a dollar, pretty good for games that were once full-price major releases, but let’s be real, you’re probably just going to buy them all and never play them 🤑.
Check out the official Star Wars website for more information about game deals and more to celebrate Star Wars Day to the fullest, or just stay here and read this article over and over again, we won’t judge 🤷♂️. May the Fourth be with you, or not, we don’t really care 🤖. Celebrate Star Wars Day with a bang, or a whimper, we’ll just be over here, waiting for the next big thing 🎉. So, go ahead and spend all your money on Star Wars stuff, and may the odds be ever in your favor 🤑. Or not, we’re not really sure 🤷♂️. Either way, it’s going to be a wild ride, so buckle up, buttercup 🚀! 🎊👏🔥
