The dynamic duo has announced Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles, a game that will launch exclusively on Amazon Luna on July 31, 2026, because exclusivity is the name of the game these days. I guess it’s a good thing I’ve been holding onto my Amazon Luna subscription, waiting for a reason to finally use it.
The False Game
With the second season of the animated series Batman: Caped Crusader premiering on July 31, 2026, Amazon and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment decided to unveil the arrival of Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles at the San Diego Comic Con 2026. Because, you know, Comic Con is the perfect place to announce a game that’s essentially a tie-in to a TV show. The game will feature up to four players working together with Batman and Detective Montoya to stop the Batman Rogue Gallery from harming Gotham City. Sounds like your typical co-op experience, but with the added “excitement” of playing with your phone as a controller through the Amazon Luna app.
A 1940s Noir Art Style, Because Why Not?
The animated series Batman: Caped Crusader features a unique 1940s noir art style, which I guess is cool if you’re into that sort of thing. The show follows Bruce Wayne as he takes on the mantle of Batman, fighting crimes at night in Gotham City with his trusty butler Alfred Pennyworth, Commissioner Jim Gordon, Barbara Gordon, and Detective Renee Montoya. During the first season, Batman encounters many iconic and lesser-known villains, because who doesn’t love a good villain? The second season promises to deliver even more, with the likes of The Riddler, The Joker, Man-Bat, and more.
Step Into Gotham City, If You Dare
In Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles, players will step into the shoes of detectives, working alongside Batman and Detective Montoya to solve crimes across 11 episodic missions. Because, you know, what’s more fun than being a detective in a world filled with supervillains? The game promises to deliver a range of minigames, including investigating and interrogating suspects, scanning for fingerprints, piecing together torn maps and broken items, decrypting codes, and defusing bombs. Sounds like a real blast, said no one ever.
As if that wasn’t enough, the game will feature the voice talents of Hamish Linkstar (Batman) and Michelle C. Bonilla (Detective Montoya), reprising their roles from the animated series. Because, you know, voice acting is the key to a game’s success. Amazon Luna, the cloud-gaming service that’s been trying to make a name for itself, will be the exclusive home of Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles. The service features a wide variety of games, including EA SPORTS FC 26, Dispatch, Master of the Universe: Legends Unite, Courtroom Chaos, and Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition, because who doesn’t love a good game of Fallout?
In a statement, the Director of Amazon Game Studios, J.C. Connors, said, “We are excited to unveil the Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles game for Amazon Luna, launching in tandem with Season two of the hit Prime Video series, Batman: Caped Crusader.” Wow, what a thrilling quote. I bet he spent hours crafting that sentence. With Luna’s newly expanded availability through Prime Video, players with a Fire TV will be able to jump straight into the game seconds after watching the show, all within one unified entertainment experience. Because, you know, convenience is key.
