Oh no, the apocalypse is near! Or at least that’s what Aaron Lewis thinks 🙄. The STAIND frontman turned country music sensation recently appeared on the podcast “Pickin’ It Out With Andrew Pope” and shared his two cents on the state of society. According to Lewis, the fabric of our civilization is unraveling, and it’s all because nobody wants to work hard anymore and everyone’s too busy swiping left on their values. I mean, who needs personal growth when you can just have instant gratification, am I right? 🤷‍♂️

So, what’s the solution to this impending doom? Well, Lewis thinks we need to go back to the good old days when people actually cared about things like morality and hard work. You know, back when America was great and all that jazz 🎸. He even mentioned that the country was founded on the principles of the Bible, because, you know, that’s exactly what the founding fathers had in mind – a Christian nation 🙏. I mean, who needs separation of church and state when you can just have a big ol’ dose of Jesus?

The Good Old Days

Lewis reminisced about his childhood, when people were treated with respect and kindness, regardless of their skin color. He claimed that racism was almost non-existent back then, and that it’s only come back because people are trying to divide us. I’m not sure what alternate universe he grew up in, but I’m pretty sure racism has always been a thing in America 🤷‍♂️. Anyway, he thinks we need to get back to those good old days when everyone was just one big happy family, united under God 🙏.

But wait, it gets better! Lewis also blamed smartphones and social media for the downfall of society. Because, you know, it’s not like people were stupid and mean before the internet 🤔. He thinks that social media has created a culture of instant gratification and fantasy, where people can just curate a perfect online persona and ignore the harsh realities of life. I mean, who needs reality when you can just have Instagram? 📸

Aaron Lewis: Country Music Savior

In other news, Lewis recently released his sixth solo country album, “Give My Country Back”, which is all about… well, you guessed it, giving his country back to the good old days 🎸. The album features a mix of honky-tonk roots and modern country muscle, because who doesn’t love a good ol’ fashioned country song about how much better things used to be? 🤠. Lewis co-wrote five songs on the record with his buddies, including Jeffrey Steele and Bobby Pinson, and even got some help from Casey Bethard and Travis Meadows. I’m sure it’s a real foot-stomper 🎶.

Lewis is currently on tour with his band THE STATELINERS, because what’s a country album without a little bit of touring? 🚐. He’s also had a pretty successful career, with two No. 1 Billboard Country Album debuts and a platinum-certified collaboration with George Jones and Charlie Daniels. Because who doesn’t love a good country song about… well, whatever it is country songs are about 🤷‍♂️.

Anyway, that’s Aaron Lewis for you – a man who’s all about going back to the good old days, when America was great and everyone was just one big happy family 🎉. Or something. I mean, who needs progress when you can just have nostalgia? 🙄. Thanks for the hot take, Aaron! 👏
