In a shocking turn of events that will surely change the course of metal history forever, former PRIMAL FEAR members Tom Naumann, Alex Beyrodt, Alex Jansen, and Michael Ehré have joined forces with Italian vocalist Gianbattista “Jan” Manenti to form FEARLESS V. Because, you know, the world was just missing a band with a name that sounds like a bad action movie title.
Their debut album, “Circus Life”, is set to drop on February 26, 2027, via Lucky Bob Records, because who doesn’t love a good circus-themed metal album? 🎪 The band’s sound is a unique blend of powerful songwriting, modern metal influences, and melodic power metal, which is just a fancy way of saying they’re trying to be the next big thing in metal. Drawing on their experience with bands like PRIMAL FEAR, GAMMA RAY, VOODOO CIRCLE, and THE UNITY, FEARLESS V is looking to make a name for themselves in the metal scene.
The Single and Music Video
The band has released their debut single, “Fearless V”, along with an official music video, because what’s a metal band without a music video, right? 🤷♂️ The video features a creepy clown mascot, because clowns are always a good idea, and showcases the band’s energy and camaraderie. Beyrodt comments, “With FEARLESS V, we seamlessly tap into the energy that has always driven us and capture the very essence of what defines us as a band: pure camaraderie and unconditional trust.” Yeah, because that’s exactly what I want in a metal band – a bunch of guys who are just really good friends. 🤜🤛
Naumann adds, “When you start a new chapter together after so many years, one thing matters above all else: the chemistry has to be one hundred percent right.” Wow, I bet they spent hours in the studio discussing the importance of chemistry and trust, and not at all just jamming out to some sick riffs. 🤟 The clown mascot, by the way, is supposed to represent the contrasts between appearance and reality, entertainment and seriousness, and the fine line between success and self-presentation. Or, you know, it’s just a creepy clown – tomato, tomahto. 🤡
Upcoming Festival Appearances
FEARLESS V will be making appearances at various festivals throughout 2027, including UOB – Ulmich Om Braand, RVBANG Festival, and Rock Das Ding Open Air Festival, because who doesn’t love a good metal festival? 🤘 They’ll be playing alongside other notable bands, and I’m sure they’ll totally not get lost in the crowd of other metal bands with similar names and sounds. 🙃
In all seriousness, FEARLESS V’s music is actually pretty solid, and if you’re a fan of melodic power metal, you might want to check them out. But let’s be real, the metal scene is already overcrowded, and do we really need another band with a name that sounds like a bad action movie title? 🤔 I guess only time will tell if FEARLESS V will rise to the top of the metal scene or fade into obscurity. Until then, I’ll just be over here, listening to their album and pretending to be excited about it. 🎧👀
