The Epic Return of Conan The Barbarian: Because You Clearly Didn't Have Enough Beefcake in Your Life 🤣

The developers behind Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel have announced a DLC that brings the one and only Conan The Barbarian into the frozen planes of Hel, because who doesn’t love a good dose of machismo and sword-wielding action? 🎉 Set for a release date of April 9th, 2026, on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, the update is, of course, adding Conan The Barbarian himself but also a couple of other inclusions on top of that, because one can never have too much of a good thing, right? 😏 Local multiplayer is one of the highlights, as players will now be able to enjoy shared runs with new mechanics like alternating level-up choices and expanded build synergy across classes and gods. The local multiplayer is the free part of the new update, with Conan The Barbarian being a paid DLC, but if you want to spend the money to play as the barbarian himself, it’s probably worth it, because who wouldn’t want to unleash their inner Conan and scream “I’LL CRUSH YOU ALL!” 🤪

Conan is described as a very aggressive character to play, with his playstyle built completely around that, because subtlety is overrated, and who needs stealth when you can just smash your way through everything? 🤷‍♂️ The main goal is to use his special triumph mechanic, which allows Conan to shrug off incoming damage after defeating enemies, because even Conan needs a little help sometimes, right? 🤣 At that point, Conan is basically unstoppable, and that is where his new Born in Battle trait comes into effect, making him even more of a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield 🏹. The trait gives Conan a more damaging critical hit and a ram dash to charge through enemies, because why bother with finesse when you can just ram into things like a human-shaped battering ram? 🤣

Going even further into Conan’s playstyle is the ability to specialize him into three distinct subclasses, because one size doesn’t always fit all, and even Conan likes to mix things up sometimes 🎨. The King of Aquilonia is a greatsword wielder who defeats enemies with massive slashes and brutal dashes, because who needs a sword when you can just use a giant slab of metal to bludgeon people? 🤪 The Stygian Gladiator focuses on defence, using a sword and shield to stun enemies, and scales very well with the triumph ability, because even Conan knows that sometimes the best defence is a good offence 😏. The last of the subclasses is the Zamorian Rogue, because who doesn’t love a good rogue? 🤔 This one uses dual-wielding to charge the triumph ability and use it to become extremely evasive with practically endless dash charges, because who needs to actually fight when you can just dodge and weave around everything? 🤸‍♂️

Conan The Barbarian will feel at home in this update because his own realm of Stygia has been brought down into the depths, because what’s a little DLC without a little hometown love? 🏠 Stygia is a sun-scorched environment that will introduce visibility challenges along with the threat of illusions, because even Conan gets lost sometimes, right? 🗺️ The goal is to navigate ancient ruins in search of ancient artifacts, but beware, for necromantic forces are guarding these ruins fiercely, because what’s a good adventure without a little danger and excitement? 🏹 In the heart of the waste is a new threat, the Undead Jotunn, a long-dead stygian wizard-king who uses forbidden magics and tricky attacks to dominate the battlefield, because even the dead can’t resist a good fight 🧟‍♂️.

Launching alongside this DLC is a major game update that will introduce the God of Fate, because who doesn’t love a good dose of fate and destiny? 🕰️ The new deity basically offers a high risk high reward blessing system, which means that by investing into fate, players will generate symbols that determine their rewards, because who doesn’t love a good gamble? 🎲 These rewards can range from huge gold bursts to power spikes that define runs, but fate is a fickle thing, so players should always be wary before toying with it, because you never know what you’re gonna get 😳.

A pretty solid update for Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel, it’s always nice to see Conan The Barbarian back in action, because who doesn’t love a good comeback story? 🎉 And let’s be real, who doesn’t want to play as a character who’s all about smashing things and looking good while doing it? 😎 It’s not like we have anything better to do, like laundry or taxes, so let’s just indulge in a little mindless fun and pretend to be Conan for a day, shall we? 🤪💪
