Report: Xbox Might Make You Sell a Kidney Due to Recent RAM Shenanigans

maxresdefault (8)

Oh noes! 😭 Looks like Microsoft and Xbox dun goofed again! Reports are circulating faster than my uncle’s conspiracy theories that they might jack up the prices of their consoles AGAIN because… wait for it… a RAM shortage! 🤣 Seriously, Microsoft, did you forget to order enough RAM during the last Amazon Prime Day sale? #FailFish #XboxPriceHikeIncoming

To fuel the insatiable hunger of AI data centers (because, you know, Skynet needs its RAM), the demand for DRAM is higher than my expectations for the next Sonic game. 🙄 With these recent RAM shortages, “reports” and “videos” (aka clickbait and speculation) suggest Microsoft and Xbox might have to squeeze more money out of your wallets. 💰 This could mean even MORE price hikes on the Xbox Series X|S, which already went up TWICE in the last 12 months in the good ol’ US of A! Meanwhile, Sony, that sneaky genius, apparently stockpiled RAM like a squirrel hoarding nuts for the winter. 🐿️ #SonyMasterRace #XboxOwned

Microsoft and Xbox already bumped the price of the Xbox Series X by a whopping $100 back in May – because who needs food when you can have slightly better graphics, amirite? 🤪 The Series S got an $80 increase, because apparently, crippling the hardware justifies charging more. And THEN, they had the audacity to raise the price of some Xbox Game Pass subscription tiers! 🤑 Guess they need more money to fund Phil Spencer’s yacht. 🛥️ #GreedyCorp #XboxSucks

While PC gamers are fighting over RAM like it’s the last slice of pizza at a convention, the gaming industry is also getting punched in the gut. According to Moore’s Law is Dead (more like Moore’s Law is Clickbait, amirite?), Xbox is allegedly warning its partners that the RAM shortage could force them to milk their fans dry. 🥛 “[Microsoft] didn’t plan ahead at all, apparently,” Moore’s Law is Dead’s Tom said. 🤣 I mean, who needs planning when you can just blame the RAM shortage and watch the money roll in? #BlameTheRAM #XboxLogic

“If you still want an Xbox for some reason, those prices could go up soon, or supply could just entirely dry up because multiple sources have apparently been warned by sales reps at Microsoft that this is going to affect the Xbox Series consoles very, very soon. Sooner rather than later.” 😂 So basically, buy now or cry later (and probably pay more anyway). #FOMO #XboxPanic

Interestingly, Sony is actually CUTTING PlayStation 5 pricing for Black Friday! 🤯 The reason? They planned ahead and bought enough RAM. 🧠 “From what I’ve heard, Sony planned ahead, bought up gobs of RAM near the bottom of the pricing, and thus they should be fine for months,” Tom continued. Looks like someone was paying attention in business school! 🎓 #SonyWins #XboxLoses

As of writing, nobody knows how much the Xbox price increase could be. 🤷 Neither Microsoft nor Xbox has addressed the issue yet. Maybe they’re hoping we’ll all forget about it? 🤔 With the holiday season so close, they might hold back from raising prices until 2026 (or maybe they’ll just sneak it in under the Christmas tree). 🎄 There is nothing worse than price hikes to sour the end of a year, especially since Xbox has been pushing the ROG Ally X and their many “great” games. 🤮 #XboxHype #PriceGouging

The RAM shortage scare began after OpenAI, aka the overlords of AI, signed massive memory supply deals with Samsung and SK Hynix. Because of these agreements, OpenAI could be using as much as 40 per cent of the world’s DRAM output. Other industries, including consoles, tablets, vehicle systems and traditional computers, must then fight for the remaining 60%. While the conversation focused heavily on Xbox, the issue could affect many companies and products this holiday season. 😒 #AIOverlords #RAMageddon

The video game industry has already faced enough stress, and this is just another kick in the pants. 👖 Data centers and companies that use AI are hogging all the RAM, leaving everyone else to scramble for scraps. It is still unclear how long the shortage will last or how its effects may extend well beyond gaming devices in the long run. So, buckle up folks, it’s gonna be a bumpy ride! 🎢
